February Currently

Well, well, well, February is here and you know what that means…it's Currently time! I love linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade each month!

Listening
I'm not a football fan, and Sunday is my work day, so the hubby has all TV rights, so I've no choice but to listen to the never-ending pre game show. I'm only here for the commercials, folks!

Loving
I'm pretty much caught up on things school wise. Plans are done, grading is up to date, emails are sent, middle school recommendations complete, and my class web page is caught up. I'm going to enjoy these minutes while it lasts…

Thinking
I have at least 10 items started, but I can't seem to finish anything lately. It's like I'm inspired and then, I'm not. I need to get new items up, especially now that I'm caught up on school stuff! I also need to finish some blog posts from, you know, Christmas…wait, what was I saying about being caught up?

Wanting
I really thought that I had a super immune system and had successfully avoided all of the sickness that has been floating around my classroom. Then Friday, I felt a little icky. Saturday, a little more. Today, a lot more. I have a crazy week ahead so the timing is downright terrible. I'm hoping I've already hit the worst of it, but I'm reaching for more Vitamin C as I type this!

Needing
My goal is to make it to the halftime show so I won't wonder what everyone is talking about tomorrow, but at this point it's a long shot. I'm sick, sleepy, and downright cranky. I feel like I could sleep for days…

My Pageant Title
I'm not much of a sugar coater. I'm the friend you ask about a new outfit when you really want to know how it looks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not abrasive or bitchy, I just greatly appreciate honesty and I think that others do too!

I hope that you'll each have a wonderful start to your February! Don't forget to head over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade and see what other bloggers are "Currently" up to!

  1. I LOVE your pageant title! I need a little more of that ability in my life. I tend to sugar coat way too often. I hope you feel better soon! Load up on chicken soup, airborne, and antibacterial!!

  2. Ha! I think making it to half time is a great goal! You certainly don't want to be in the dark tomorrow! Here's to the commercials and a few (not on my diet) Super Bowl snacks!
    Cheers!

  3. That is too funny . . . pageant name! So sorry you aren't feeling well. Had the flu over the Christmas break - NO fun! Isn't such a great feeling to feel caught up?! Hope you feel better! The Techie Playground

    1. Thank you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't end up missing days and then playing catch up again. Sometimes it's easier to head to work feeling icky than to face all of that work when you return!

  5. So jelly you are all caught up with school stuff. I am so behind and am so grateful I get tomorrow (snow day) to catch up, but I have a lot of work ahead of me with parent conferences two nights this week.

    1. We've not had a snow day in Virginia yet and this is the week that I could REALLY use one! It's so much easier to miss a day that everyone misses instead of having to catch up. We have our musical this week, so I've got a long night too. I definitely feel your pain…good luck with conferences!

  6. So sorry you haven't been feeling well. I'm starting to feel it now and thinking tomorrow may have to be a day for recovering. Snow would make it so much easier, though. I'm to the point where I feel like it's just not going to happen for us this year. So frustrating!

    1. Thank you. I am starting to feel better thanks to some antibiotics, but I was out Monday and Tuesday. It really knocked me down. The good news is, it's been a short week!

I'm right there with you on the likelihood of snow! I hate the acceptance stage, but it is February 5th and no snow in sight. As much as I love snow, I do really love spring in Virginia too, so I guess I will just begin to look forward to that. Feel better, my dear!
