It's that time again and oh my goodness, it's on the eve of the first day, so you know where my brain is Currently! Seriously, did August arrive this year? Time flies when you're having summer! :-)
Thanks to Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for my favorite monthly linky!
Listening: HGTV is on, and I hear the faint sound of purring from my cat, Tucker, yet all I really hear are the voices in my head screaming: "Don't forget to make sure that students know what bus # they ride. Copy those papers tomorrow. How many parent letters are you sending home on the first day, Rachel?" Oh my gosh, it's endless and I KNOW it's only going to get worse when I try to lay my head on my pillow!
Loving: I seriously cannot believe that tomorrow will be my 10th first day and I'm still having a blast. How many people have as much fun as I do at their jobs? I really and truly love what I do and can't wait to get this party started!
Thinking: I'm not sleeping tonight. Too many thoughts, not enough paper in the world for the to-do's that I keep coming up with. There's just absolutely no way.
Wanting: I have tons of clothes. I bought tons more in the last few weeks. With more than 50 dresses to choose from, you'd think it would be easy to choose my first day outfit, but I'm terribly indecisive so the more that I have the harder it is for me to choose. My husband just told me that the forecast for tomorrow is 95 degrees with 90% humidity, and that just further complicated my decision. I'm sure I'll be the one screaming, "I'm melting, I'm melting" during recess tomorrow. :-)
Needing: No matter how prepared I think I am, there is always that last minute item that I need to copy first thing in the morning and sometimes it's a race to the copiers in my building. I plan to get there when the doors open at 7 tomorrow to get my copies in. It's amazing how much the idea of standing in line can raise my anxiety!
Bora Bora: I don't swim, but I just think it looks so peaceful. I like the idea of just laying on the beach or in my hut for 7 days with nothing else to do but relax. I'd probably complain of being bored after 3 days, though!
London: Sometimes you just know a city is made for you. Like Boston. When I'm there, I feel like I'm at home, yet I'm a New Yorker. I just know that London is my perfect fit. Also, I can't get enough of that accent!
Australia: Have you ever seen a part of Australia on TV/in pictures, etc. that didn't look amazing? Me neither. If I am going to be on a plane for a long time, I want it to be worth it and I feel like Australia would deliver times ten. Also, I have a friend who lives there, so I could visit her while seeing a totally new place, SCORE!
