Sunday Social - August 10, 2014

Is it Sunday again already? Well that means that it's time to link up with Neely and Ashley from A Complete Waste of Makeup for the Sunday Social! I love the Sunday Social because it's your chance to get to know a little bit more about me and this week, I'm really showing my age!

1. One show you would love to see on Netflix that isn't there.

I don't know of a show that I love that isn't on Netflix that I don't already own. It has all of my favorites! When my husband was deployed a few years ago, I used my Netflix membership to watch the entire series of Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, and Weeds. Nip/Tuck was my favorite, in case you were wondering. Mostly because Julian McMahon is incredibly hard to look at…

2. One song you wish they would play more on the radio.

Hmmm…I'm going to show my age and say that I never listen to the radio unless it's a Pandora or Spotify radio station inspired by my favorites. I can always listen to more "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd though, so yeah, they could play that more!

3. Your favorite song to sing loudly to in the car.

Oh, goodness, I feel like everyone that answers this is going to pick some young, hip song and I'm going to be over here talking about the old days. Seriously though, if I had to pick just one, it would probably be "The Hook" by Blues Traveler because if you can sing the "Rin Tin Tin" part while driving, you are amazing and I totally can! Also, so can Emma Stone, which gives her some street cred
too!

4. What movie/show do I quote the most?

The Breakfast Club. At least once a week! I actually know every. single. word to this movie. As such, no one is really willing to watch it with me.

5. One silly thing you do daily.

I have two cats that I enjoy daily conversation with in a really high-pitched ridiculous voice. Tell me I'm not alone here!

I hope you've enjoyed this peek in to how old and crazy I really am! Hop on over to A Complete Waste of Makeup to link-up and be social!

    1. It's such a classic. I always wish it were about 5 minutes longer. When it gets to the "two lost souls living in a fish bowl" part, oh my gosh, I just LOVE it!

  6. You are totally not alone in talking to your cats. I do the same with my dogs. And it's usually in a baby voice. LOL

I have never seen The Breakfast Club...perhaps I should check it out now, those comments above have me intrigued now.

    1. Oh, yes, you must see The Breakfast Club. Ah, the trials and tribulations of high school kids in the 80's. It's pure awesome!

Thank you for showing me I'm not alone!

  7. Ok, I'm ashamed to say that I've actually never seen The Breakfast Club, although I saw it was on Amazon Prime and have added it to my watchlist. I know. I'm a terrible child of the 80s...

That Emma Stone battle was amazing! I love Blues Travelers, especially that song. And I also now want to learn every word to Fancy. I have it on my iPod. It will happen.

    1. You should definitely watch The Breakfast Club, so you'll be in the know! I was kind of obsessed with John Hughes movies in the 80s so I've seen them all too many times to admit!

I'll learn the words to Fancy too, then we can sing it together at the next meet-up. Deal? :-)
